Frances commenced working with Higgins Graham Accountants in 2006 and joined PGM in 2013. Frances works on accounts preparation and tax compliance for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also has responsibility for the completion of VAT and Payroll compliance for clients.
With itchy feet, Frances loves to travel, especially to mainland Europe for the architecture, food and wine. When not travelling, you can find her in the warrior pose in a yoga class or talking about world politics.
Michael commenced his accountancy training at O’Hare’s Chartered Accountants in 1975. In 1982 he set up his own practice Michael Graham and Co. in Belfast. In 1991 Michael joined Higgins Graham Accountants as a partner until 2013. He joined PGM as a consultant in 2013 and has a broad experience on all aspects of general practice.
Squash is Michael’s game and he regularly plays in the masters league. As chairman and secretary of Lisburn Racquets Squash Club, Michael is kept busy between the court and the office.
Lisa commenced working with Higgins Graham Accountants in 1995 and joined PGM in 2013. Lisa works on accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. She also has responsibility for the completion of VAT and Payroll compliance for clients.
A keen swimmer, Lisa swims as often as she can, she also enjoys reading, but her main passion is spending time with her young daughter.
Sylwia graduated from the University of Ulster with a Bsc. Hons Accounting (1st Class Honours) in 2013. Sylwia commenced her ACA training contract with PGM in 2014, she works on accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies and heads up the Cloud Accounting Service.
Outside of the office, Sylwia has a keen interest in philosophy and reading.
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 with Macintyre Hudson, Chartered Accountants in London. Having qualified he returned to Northern Ireland and joined Blythe Grace Chartered Accountants. He set up PGM Chartered Accountants in 2001 and has a wide range of experience in all aspects of general practice.
In 2011 Paul was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Paul’s interests outside of work, include tennis and golf. Paul represented Ulster in the junior inter-provincials. He continues his interest in tennis as the President of The Belfast Boat Club, Stranmillis.
Arthur is consultant with PGM with 25 years’ experience in practice. Arthur joined KPMG in 1991 with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Accounting and a Diploma in Professional Accounting from Queen’s University Belfast. Arthur is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, having qualified in 1993 and having been placed in his final professional exams. Arthur was elected to Partner in KPMG in 2002 and retired in 2016.
Arthur is experienced in leading sensitive assignments and liaising with senior (Board) level management in a variety of large public and private sector organisations.
Patricia graduated at the University of Ulster with a BSc Hons Accounting (2:1 class honours) in 2013 and has passed her Chartered Account Exams in October 2016. She is the Accounts Manager at the Lurgan office.
Outside of the office, Patricia likes to keep fit playing football and off the pitch she can be seen buried in a good read.
Ryan graduated from Queens University Belfast with a BSc. Hons in Business Management (2:1 class honours) in 2012. From 2013/14 Ryan worked as a research consultant with RSM McClure Watters and as a business analyst at PWC. He also has considerable experience in internal audit.
Commencing his ACA training with PGM in 2014, Ryan works on accounts preparation and taxation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Ryan has many interests including football, golf, Irish traditional music and socialising with friends.
Elizabeth trained as a chartered accountant with Thomson McLintock (KPMG) in Belfast and qualified in 1980. Elizabeth was a partner with Hugh Rafferty in Rafferty Tohill Chartered Accountants until his retirement in 2009, she then continued to own and manage the practice until merging with PGM in 2014.
Today, Elizabeth continues to work on all aspects of accounts, tax and audit. When the weather is good, Elizabeth loves to cycle and has a passion for music particularly classical, opera, traditional Jazz and Irish music.
Aaron graduated at Queens University Belfast with a Bachelor of Law (2:1 class honours) in 2006 and later a Master of Arts in Politics in 2007. Having passed his Bar exams he worked as a Barrister at Law from 2009 to 2013. A change of direction led Aaron to begin his ACA training with PGM in 2014, working on accounts preparation and taxation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Aaron is an avid sportsman and footballer, he loves to read and follows Manchester United.
Chris commenced his career with PwC in Belfast in 2012 qualifying as a Tax Technician (ATT) in 2014. He moved to KPMG Glasgow to take up an assistant manager post in 2015, and completed his Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) exams in 2016.
During his time with PwC and KPMG, Chris specialised in expatriate individuals, employment taxes and residence issues, prior to joining PGM in August 2017.
Outside the office, Chris plays football twice a week. He enjoys drinking coffee, reading the sports pages and spending time with his young family.
Tanya joined PGM in June 2017 after having worked in administration in the public sector for a number of years.
Outside of the office Tanya loves spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys arts and crafts, reading and upcycling old furniture.
Stephen is a qualified Chartered Accountant and prize-winner of the BDO Chartered Accountants Award (2012) and the Chartered Accountants Ulster Society Award (2013) as the highest performing student on each occasion.
Stephen has experience in leading large audits of many of Northern Irelands top 100 companies as well as accounts preparation.
Stephen is also a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and has responsibility for taxation planning and compliance work for various Limited Companies.
Paul graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2008 with a B.D (Hons) Theology (1st Class Honours). He began his accountancy studies with Ulster University before graduating in 2011 with a Grad. Dip. Accounting with Commendation.
Now a full member of Chartered Accountants Ireland Paul has had 4 years experience in Practice with RSM and 2 years in industry before joining PGM in August 2017.
Paul enjoys theology/philosophy and has a keen interest in motor sport - especially Formula One, being the ultimate partnership between Man and Machine!
Laura graduated from University of Ulster in 2011 with a BSc Hons in Business and Accountancy + Diploma in Industrial Studies (1st Class Honours).
Laura commenced her ACA training in 2011 with UHY Hacker Young in London. From 2013-2017 Laura completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics teaching students of 11-18 years old at a private boarding school in Ascot. Having lived in England for 6 years, Laura decided to move back to Northern Ireland to re-register as an ACA trainee with PGM in 2017.
Outside of the office, Laura enjoys playing sport, travelling and spending time with her friends and family.
Judy graduated from University of Ulster with a BSc (Hons) Communication, Advertising & Marketing (2:1 class honours) degree.
She commenced her ACA training with PGM in 2017 and currently works on accounts preparation & taxation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, payroll and internal audit. Outside of the office Judy enjoys yoga, travelling and taking motor biking trips.
